As you read this, International House will be kicking off its 30-Day Alumni Giving Challenge. My colleague came up with this idea at the intersection of two recent events:
- we saw that alumni giving was down in the year-to-date comparisons and
- the great success of this academic year’s Resident Member Gift Campaign (RMGC) — which exceeded its goals of raising $3,000 from 300 donors in 30 days by ultimately raising over $5,000 from 365 donors.
This challenge is being put forth by the RMGC chair with the goal of 365 alumni giving to the Annual Fund during the month of June. The initial announcement will go out via e-mail to all of our alumni, which also serves as a reminder for the Spring Appeal that was recently mailed.
As I may have mentioned in previous posts, the House is in the last year of a four-year multimillion-dollar challenge grant from one of our most dedicated alumni supporters, so this 30-Day Challenge will be a welcome boon to the larger challenge.
Be on the lookout for a status report or two this month and my wrap-ups of this 30-Day Challenge at the beginning of next month!
